EditorGeemon George
Editor/PRO EFICP

The EFICP which is a true testament to the brotherly love existing among the twenty one churches of the city of brotherly love will attain its goal only when it is able to impart this spirit of love to the future generations.

The EFICP souvenir released at the Christmas event has, through the past years become a symbol of the unity among the different denominations. I praise God Almighty for blessing me with the opportunity to be its Editor. Let me also take this opportunity to place on record my appreciation and humble gratitude to the members of the EFICP who appointed me to this prestigious position and every one of the Editorial Board and EFICP Executive Committee who supported me in this endeavor. I am also indebted to the advertisers and well wishers who donated funds towards this. I also remember and acknowledge the services of all eminent leaders of EFICP in the past years whose dedication and commitment helped build up this organization and achieve its projects. As Editor of the EFICP Souvenir, with great pleasure, I present to you the souvenir for the year 2014.

The EFICP has grown into an amazing entity that brings together members of different Indian Christian denominations under one banner to praise the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The spirit of solidarity has guided the organization to maintain its lofty ideals and to undertake projects that will benefit the community as a whole. We can be justly proud of the fact that the harmony and fellowship that exist among the churches of Philadelphia has made the organization a shining example to other Ecumenical organizations in the country.

The relevance of Ecumenical Fellowships cannot be overstated in the present day world when thousands around the world are persecuted for their Christian faith. News channels bring to us endless stories of chilling cruelty and horrible injustice from the war torn countries of Africa and the Middle East. As fellow Christians, we should remember that it is our solemn duty to provide whatever support we can to the victims of war and persecution and continuously uphold them in our prayers.

At this time as the whole world celebrates Christmas, let us make sure that the pomp and splendor of worldly celebrations do not blind us, but, that our celebration will reflect the true meaning of Christmas. Let us, the citizens of ‘The City of Brotherly Love’ demonstrate the brotherly love our Savior taught.

I, along with my family, wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
